Attention is a catalyst unlike any other seen in todays world. Attention can drive forces and armies to the brinks of war. Attention can bring peace and prosperity to the masses. But why?
Well my take on it, is the value people receive from it. I have had people work for nothing because their employer understood them and treated them like a person, not a tool. People that receive the right kind of attention often go on to be successful, functioning human beings.
For instance, in almost any movie, the man with an awful childhood, who didn't receive the correct kind of attention, becomes the villain. Whereas the valued, cared for child often becomes the hero of the story the movie tells, it may not be at the beginning but near enough always at the end. So what lesson can be learned from this?
