"The fool on the hill" was a song released by The Beatles in 1967. A song I have been fairly recently introduced to, a song that I personally feel teaches a great lesson to live by...
I feel like the song signals to it's listeners the power of people's experiences, and that even when the "fool" speaks, they may be saying something of value to you. I feel like this powerful message is especially prevalent in the lyrics,
"But nobody ever hears him,
Or the sound he appears to make, And he never seems to notice,
But the fool on the hill sees the sun going down, And the eyes in his head see the world spinning 'round"
The first half of the lyrics shows us the ignorance people have towards the "fool". However the second part of the verse shows that the ignorant people are in fact, the "fools".
These few lines right here show the importance of everybody's word; the homeless man on the side of the road, the wall street millionaire, a 5 year old child, Elon Musk. Heck! It could be anyone. The point is, anyone can provide value to you with their words, as long as you can ask the right questions.
